ABSTRACT:
The present invention has for an object compounds of formula (I) and colorants containing these 4-aminobiphenyl-3-ol derivatives of general formula (I) for dyeing keratin fibers, particularly hair,whereinR1 and R2 independently of each other denote hydrogen, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a hydroxyl group, a C1–C4-alkoxy group, a C2–C4-hydroxyalkoxy group, a C1–C6-alkyl group, a nitro group, a trifluoromethyl group, a —C(O)H group, a —C(O)CH3group, a —C(O)CF3group, an —Si(CH3)3group or a C1–6-hydroxyalkyl group or R1 and R2 together form an —O—CH2—O— bridge.
