ABSTRACT:
A roll crusher incorporates gas hydraulic springs to maintain the desired spacing between the crushing rolls and to provide overload protection. Featured are separate hydraulic means for backing off and then reapplying the hydraulic springs by altering their overall lengths so that roll spacing can be readily adjusted.
