ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a mold additive for continuous casting which comprises adjusting an additive for stationary casting containing a flux base and, if necessary, a melting property regulator wherein it contains 4-30 wt % of MgO and 4-30 wt % of ZrO.sub.2 and CaO/SiO.sub.2 is 0.5-1.5.
