ABSTRACT:
A spacer designed for fitment between pairs of oblique rolling bearings (taper roller, ball bearings or similar) for enabling adjustable axial positioning of the same inside a support assembly, e.g. the hub-axle assembly of a vehicle suspension, the outer element of which presents a through hole for enabling adjustment of the spacer; which spacer consists of a pair of coaxial annular elements, the first engaged partially in sliding manner inside the second; a third annular element mounted externally and in axially mobile manner on the first element and designed to act as a shoulder for the second element; and locking mechanism for selectively securing the third element in a number of predetermined axial positions on and integral with the first element.
