ABSTRACT:
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention
The invention relates to an acoustic pick-up device, more particularly to a holder for an acoustic pickup device that can be hung around the neck of the user and that can be adjusted as desired.
2. Description of the Related Art
FIGS. 1 and 2
illustrate a conventional acoustic pick-up device

that can be attached to the clothes of the user to eliminate the need for gripping by the hands of the user. The pick-up device

is mounted on a base

that is provided with a clip
12
. In use, the clip
12
is generally fastened to the collar

of the user

. It is noted that the clip
12
is difficult to fasten on the shirt or blouse when the collar is a round-neck collar. In addition, the clip
12
can form crease marks on the collar when it is fastened too tight, and can fall off from the collar when it is fastened too loose.
FIG. 3

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a holder for an acoustic pick-up device that can be hung around the neck of the user, that can be adjusted as desired, and that has a pleasant appearance.
According to this invention, a holder for an acoustic pick-up device comprises a base and a neck strap. The base is adapted for mounting of the pick-up device thereon, and is formed with a strap fastener. The strap fastener includes a pair of tubular strap sleeves that define a pair of strap holes. The neck strap has two ends that are extended respectively through the holes in the strap sleeves, and is gripped fittingly and is compressible in radial directions by the strap sleeves. The base can be forced to move along the length of the neck strap when adjusting the position of the base relative to the neck strap.
