ABSTRACT:
An apparatus for supplying additional air into the intake port of an internal combustion engine is described. The apparatus includes an additional air discharge means protruding into the intake port of the internal combustion engine and formed as nozzle tube. The nozzle tube is disposed at the combustion chamber end of the intake port directly adjacent to the inlet valve. Furthermore, the apparatus comprises an additional air flow rate controller and an additional air supply line between the nozzle tube and the flow rate controller. A vacuum line for the detection of vacuum and for the application of vacuum to the controller for the operation thereof leads from the intake port to the flow rate controller.
