ABSTRACT:
A circuit responsive to selected symmetrical components of current in a three phase alternating current system. The component values of the circuit can be selected so that the circuit output is proportional only to the negative sequence components of current, only to the positive sequence components, or to both the positive and negative sequence components of current. The positive sequence response is 180.degree. out of phase with the negative sequence response and the amount of positive sequence response can be adjusted without affecting the magnitude or phase of the negative sequence response.
