ABSTRACT:
An active matrix substrate for a reflection type liquid crystal display apparatus has an image display region10including a plurality of pixels1each having a reflection electrode4aand a switching element2, a black display region11including a plurality of pixels for providing only a black display each having a reflection electrode4b, a wiring layer111between the switching elements2and the reflection electrodes, a light shielding layer113between the wiring layer111and the layer forming the reflection electrodes, a through hole112abetween the wiring layer111and the light shielding layer113in the image display region10for electrically connecting the reflection electrode4ato the switching element2, and a through hole112bbetween the wiring layer111and the light shielding layer113in the black display region11and electrically isolated from the switching element2.
