ABSTRACT:
The load absorbing device is housed in a fluid filled housing for cooling d vibration damping purposes. The device includes a rotating disc coupled to the motor output shaft, and brake calipers for engaging the disc periphery to incrementally increase the torque load on the motor. A support structure shields these components and serves as the support for the motor to be tested. Vibration isolating mounts are used to support both the motor and the housing for these components.
