ABSTRACT:
An access point (10) for providing a wireless LAN, comprising: a communication unit (110) that performs a wireless LAN communication; a status determination unit (120) that, constituted by separate from hardware constituting the communication unit (110), determines radio wave statuses on each of a plurality of channels; a wireless communication control unit (119) that selects, on the basis of the determined radio wave statuses, a channel use for the wireless LAN communication; and a communication CH switch unit (118) that switches from a channel currently performing the wireless LAN communication to the selected channel.
