An ablation catheter10includes an elongate carrier12. A first loop14.1is arranged at, or adjacent, a distal end of the carrier12. At least one sensing electrode40is carried on the first loop14.1for sensing irregular electrical activity in a patient's body. At least one further loop14.2is arranged proximally relative to the first loop14.1on the carrier12in a fixed orientation relative to the first loop14.1. At least one ablating electrode42is carried on the second loop14.2for ablating a site of the patient's body where irregular electrical activity occurs.
