ABSTRACT:
Compounds of the formula ##SPC1##
Wherein Y is H, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each are H or lower alkyl, n is 0-3 and R is H or ##EQU1## or S-heterocyclic, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and esters thereof are effective antibacterial agents. In general the preferred products are those wherein the methoxy group is designated the .alpha. configuration.
