ABSTRACT:
Perfume and fragrance compositions, and perfumed articles comprising one or more 6-alkyl-alpha-pyrones having the generic structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is methyl or hydrogen and R.sub.2 is C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 alkyl, and processes for preparing same are described.
