ABSTRACT:
Benzimidazoles of the formula ##SPC1##
Wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 represent at least one alkyl group which may optionally be substituted and X is lower alkoxy or halo, R.sub.1 may also be dialkyl amino and R.sub.2 may be halo. The compounds are useful as intermediates for preparation of herbicides.
