ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to a quinoline derivative of the formula ##STR1## wherein Z is an amino group or a halogen atom, R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl or ethyl group, R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl or fluoromethyl group, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are the same or different and each represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and n is 1 or 2;
and esters thereof and salts thereof and processes for preparation thereof. These compounds show excellent antibacterial activity and are useful antibacterial agents.
