ABSTRACT:
Novel 5-pyrimidinecarboxamides useful for regressing or inhibiting the growth of leukemia and tumors in mammals. The compounds have the formula: ##STR1## wherein: R is hydrogen, 2- or 3-halo, 4-fluoro, 2-methyl, 2- or 4-alkoxy, or 2- or 4-trifluoromethyl, and R.sub.1 is hydrogen; or
