ABSTRACT:
Provided are novel 5-alkoxy-2-alkyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolines of the formula ##STR1## wherein A is CHO--, HOOC--CH.dbd.CH--, or HOOC--CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --, R and R.sub.1 are the same or different lower alkyl groups, and acid addition salts and quaternary ammonium salts thereof.
