4-N-Lysyl-2'-N-des-.beta.-lysyl antibiotic AX-127B-1 and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The compounds are useful as intermediates in the preparation of 3-O-demethyl 4-N-lysyl-2'-N-des-.beta.-lysyl antibiotic AX-127B-1 and as a broad spectrum antibacterial agents.
