ABSTRACT:
A compound of the formula (I): ##STR1## and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or C.sub.1-6 alkyl or an acyl group of 1 to 8 carbon atoms; n is 2, 3 or 4; X is halogen; and the OR.sub.1 and HN(CH.sub.2).sub.n X moieties are trans; has anti-hypertensive activity and a low level of cardiac side-effects.
