ABSTRACT:
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein ring A is trans-1,4-cyclohexylene, 1,4-phenylene, pyrimidine-2,5-diyl or trans-1,3-dioxane-2,5-diyl; n is either 0 or 1; ring B stands for 1,4-phenylene or trans-1,4-cyclohexylene; and R.sup.1 is 3E-alkenyl or on a saturated ring also 1E-alkenyl, their manufacture, liquid crystalline mixtures which contain these compounds as well as their use for electro-optical purposes.
