ABSTRACT:
Hair dye and hair setting lotion compositions containing an indoaniline having the formula ##SPC1##
Wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 represents hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl having 1-4 carbon atoms and lower alkoxy having 1-4 carbon atoms. The indoaniline is prepared by condensing on 2,6-diamino pyridine a corresponding paraminophenol, a salt of the paraminophenol or a corresponding quinonechloroimide.
