ABSTRACT:
An ellipsoidal infinite element is used for the modeling of electromagnetic fields in exterior domains surrounding a structure. This infinite element is based on a multipole expansion that describes scattered and/or radiated fields exterior to the structure. The electromagnetic field is represented in the exterior domain by a pair of scalar potentials, referred to as the Debye potentials.
