ABSTRACT:
Intermediates of the following formulae (I) and (II): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, and R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkylcarbonyl group, arylcarbonyl group, alkylsulfonyl group, arylsulfonyl group, alkoxycarbonyl group or aryloxycarbonyl group
and acid salt thereof are useful for synthesizing ticlopidine hydrochloride from an inexpensive and easily available compound in short steps.
