ABSTRACT:
The novel compounds of this invention and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts exhibit cardioselective .beta.-adrenergic blocking activity, with a direct relaxing effect on the .beta..sub.2 -adrenergic receptors and are useful as antihypertensive, cardioprotective, antiarrhythmic and, antianginal agents.
