The antibiotic 3-(2-Aminoethylthio)-6-ethyl-7-oxo-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]hept-2-ene-2-carboxy lic acid(I) and processes for its preparation are disclosed: ##STR1## Also disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions comprising I and methods of treatment comprising administering I when an antibiotic effect is indicated.
