ABSTRACT:
25-Alkyl-3.beta.-hydroxycholest-5-en-7-ones and esters thereof adapted to lower serum cholesterol and inhibit the activity of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase are disclosed.
