ABSTRACT:
Plant growth regulating compound is 2-chloroethanephosphonic diamide of the formula: ##EQU1## where the compound is prepared by the reaction of ammonia with 2-chloroethylphosphonyl dihalide and subsequently purified to remove ammonium halide by reaction with a secondary amine in chloroform.
