ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to novel 2-[4-(6-haloquinoxalinyl-2-oxy)phenoxy]propionates with herbicidal and plant growth regulating properties and having good selectivity in different crops of cultivated plants. The novel compounds have the general formula I ##STR1## wherein X is fluorine, chlorine or bromine, Z is oxygen or sulfur, A is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkylene bridge which is unsubstituted or substituted by methyl or ethyl, and R is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl.
