ABSTRACT:
2,3,5,6-Tetrasubstituted p-benzoquinones of the formula I ##STR1## where R is bromine, C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 -acylthio or benzoylthio, their preparation and their use for the preparation of 4,8-dihydrobenzo[1,2-c:4,5-c']dithiophene-4,8-dione are described.
