ABSTRACT:
[2,2]paracyclophane compounds having formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, which may have a substituent, or an aryl group which may have a substituent, provided that R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may not be a methyl group at the same time, and methods of producing the same are disclosed. These compounds are useful as an effective photoconductive component for an electrophotographic photoconductor which is composed of an electroconductive support and a photoconductive layer formed thereon.
