ABSTRACT:
New intermediates, namely 2-(2-halo-3,4-dimethoxybenzyl)-5-(4-methoxyphenyl)-oxazolidines, are prepared by a synthetic sequence which uses a Darzen's reaction in a homogeneous solvent system.
