ABSTRACT:
Steroids having the formula ##STR1## wherein X is --S--, ##STR2## R.sub.1 is alkyl, aryl, or acyloxyalkyl; the R.sub.2 groups are halogen; R.sub.3 is hydrogen or halogen; R.sub.4 is carbonyl, .beta.-hydroxymethylene or .beta.-acyloxymethylene; and R.sub.5 is hydrogen or fluoro; can be used as antiinflammatory agents.
