ABSTRACT:
1-Aryloxy-2-(S)-hydroxy-3-(triarylphosphonio)-propane salts and alkali metal ylids thereof are novel intermediates useful in the direct synthesis of 15-(R)-hydroxy-16-aryloxy-prostaglandins.
