ABSTRACT:
Disclosed is 1.alpha.,24-dihydroxy vitamin D.sub.4 having the following structure: ##STR1## and pharmaceutical compositions containing said compound. The compound and composition are useful in the treatment of abnormal calcium metabolism. Also Disclosed is a method for the preparation of 1.alpha.,24-dihydroxy vitamin D.sub.4.
