ABSTRACT:
A 1,4-bis(4,4-diphenyl-1,3-butadienyl)benzene derivative represented by formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 each independently represents a lower alkyl group which may be substituted, an aralkyl group which may be substituted, or an aryl group which may be substituted, and an electrophotographic photoreceptor using the compound are disclosed. The photoreceptor provides a high carrier drift mobility.
