ABSTRACT:
Novel 4-R.sub.1 R.sub.2 NCH.sub.2 -9-benzyl-6-R.sub.3 -7-R.sub.4 -1,2,3,4-tetrahydrocarbazoles having antibacterial activity are disclosed. The compounds are prepared by the chemical reduction of the corresponding 4-R.sub.1 R.sub.2 NCO-9-benzyl-6-R.sub.3 -7-R.sub.4 -1,2,3,4-tetrahydrocarbazoles.
