ABSTRACT:
The invention is directed to a process for the racemization of optically active phenyl glycine amide with or without a substituted phenyl group by heating the opticaly active phenyl glycine amide in a solvent in the presence of a ketone and of an acid having a dissociation constant below 1.8 .times. 10.sup.-4.
