ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to scroll type fluid compressor which includes a mechanism for adjusting axial clearance and alignment. Adjustment sleeves, which are disposed threaded apertures of the compressor housing, move for and aft, and adjust the location and alignment of the scrolls. A threaded member passes through the sleeve to engage a threaded aperture on the end plate of the fixed scroll to thus fix the fixed scroll within the housing.
