ABSTRACT:
A rotary magnetic reproducing apparatus for use in an electronic still camera system, wherein a magnetic head is moved in the radial direction of a magnetic disc rotation in a disk pack to thereby perform image reproduction. Control logic is provided to warn the operator if the operator attempts to position the magnetic head outside of the image data envelope. A further warning is provided if operation is attempted when a disc pack is not loaded in the reproducing apparatus.
