ABSTRACT:
A two pole electric motor is described which includes at least one stator encircling winding which at least partially overlaps the rotor air gap to insure that substantially the entire magnetic field created by such rotor encircling winding is forced to pass through the rotor with minimal leakage or fringe magnetic field bypassing the rotor.
