ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a propiolate ester compound represented by the formula I: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy group or alkoxy group;
m denotes an integer of 1 to 5;
Y represents --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --, --OCH.sub.2 -- or --CH.sub.2 O--;
Z represents a C.sub.2 -C.sub.6 alkylene group which may be substituted with a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl group; and
R.sub.1 may be the same or different, when m is an integer of larger than 1.
The invention also provides an acaricide containing the same as an active ingredient and an acaricidal method.
