ABSTRACT:
Photographic elements having oxonol dyes of the formula: ##STR1## R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently represent alkyl of from 1 to 5 carbon atoms are disclosed. The dyes are particularly useful as filter dyes in the form of solid particle microcrystalline dispersions.
