ABSTRACT:
An improved method for rapidly drying wigs comprises circulating air through the wig material in the presence of microwave heating. The microwave source is cycled with a cycle time of from about 1/2 second to 15 seconds on, followed by an interval of about 1/2 to 30 seconds off. An apparatus for practicing this technique comprises a microwave oven adapted with means for forced circulation of air, optionally heated, through the wig, and means for exhausting circulated air from the oven.
