ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of 4-phenylpyrrole derivatives of the formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.n, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are as defined in claim 1, which comprises reacting a phenacylamine of formula II ##STR2## with a compound of formula III
