ABSTRACT:
A special effect device comprising a first signal source, a second signal source, subtracting circuit, coefficient multiplying circuit, adding circuit, switch circuit and control circuit. The subtracting circuit is arranged to produce a difference signal between the signals of the first signal source and the second signal source. The coefficient multiplying circuit multiplies the difference from the subtracting circuit by a predetermined coefficient and the adding circuit adds the signals output from the first and second signal sources to the signal output from the multiplying circuit. The switch circuit selectively outputs the output of the first signal source or an output of the adding circuit. The control circuit is arranged to stop the supply of power to at least the subtracting circuit when the switch circuit is selectively outputting the output of the first signal source.
