ABSTRACT:
A CPU produces image data of RGB for defining a display image, and writes the image data in a memory. A display controller reads image data from the memory. A conversion table converts image data to voltage data corresponding to a voltage for displaying a color close to a color defined by the image data. The number of bits of voltage data is smaller than the number of bits of image data. The voltage data is converted by a D/A converter to an analog voltage which is in turn applied to an ECB type liquid crystal display device.
