The compounds of the following formula are histamine H.sub.1 -receptor antagonists: ##STR1## where R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are, independently, hydrogen, halo, alkoxy of 1 to 3 carbon atoms or alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms; R.sup.2 is hydrogen or halo;
