ABSTRACT:
Polymeric compositions which may be readily crosslinked at temperatures above about 200.degree. C. comprise an elastomeric polymer possessing olefinic unsaturation and an effective amount of a benzocyclobutene derivative of the general formula ##STR1## where "X" is selected from the group consisting of ##STR2## where "R" is an alkylene group of 1 to 10 carbon atoms. Cured compositions are also claimed.
