A thermally-transferred color filter array element comprising a transparent support having thereon a thermally-transferred image comprising a repeating pattern in a binder of colorants composed of one or more polyesters having Tg greater than about 200.degree. C. derived from one or more dibasic aromatic acids and one or more dihydroxy-phenols that contain at least one large bulky central moiety.
