ABSTRACT:
A video image apparatus which records an image corresponding to a video signal including synchronizing signals includes detector for detecting a lack of synchronizing signals and controller responsive to the detector for inhibiting the record operation in order to cope satisfactorily with interruption of the input video signal. Preferably, the apparatus further includes a restart unit for restarting the recording operation from the position where the recording operation has stopped after the input video signal has been restored.
